This is the 3rd part of a 3 part series on the wines of Mt Etna. In this episode we will be talking about Etna Bianco and Etna Bianco Superiore and what makes the wines of Mt Etna so unique. Carricante is the main grape in the white blends of Mt Etna, although other grapes like Catarratto and Minnella can be used in the blends. Then we will taste one of my favorite Etna Biancos from Benanti, which is their single vineyard called Pietramarina.
